Armando is an Attorney at Law from UNAM with post-graduate studies in Corporate Law, Antitrust, Litigation, Leadership and People Management at different universities including ITAM and ITESM in Mexico.
His expertise of more than 30 years in leading legal roles with biopharmaceutical companies include GSK, Eli Lilly and AstraZeneca, where he led the Legal Latin American Team for 10 years and was recognized with the CEO Award in 2021 for his contribution to the success of the Covid-19 Vaccine Project when helping to establish a manufacturing and supply chain for distributing the Covid-19 vaccine throughout Latin America.
His wide experience has also contributed to improve intellectual property for pharmaceutical innovation. Before advising multi-national pharmaceuticals, he was in-house counsel Trademark Attorney for nine years at Colgate Palmolive in Mexico and in the US.
His professional development in Mexico and the US was enriched with extensive travels across Latin America, a region where he currently has a vast experience.
He has also influenced the development of several talented lawyers in Latin America and has been a key contributor in multi-disciplinary teams at trade and professional associations.
